i swear, if it wasn't for you, gendi. i probably won't come back here.

because unlike you. my life is just so boring.. :(.. and i hate the feeling sometimes blogging gives you.. of having to please people or make ppl laugh when i write about my life. i am SO beyond that stage.

but for you.. and abby, i will do that. (are you feeling guilty yet? haha) and for you, i will try my best to tell you every last boring detail of my life.. and all the while.. try to make you laugh.

just because i love you so much :)


so i got this rash on my elbow (don't you just lurve those details?) and i don't know what it was, so i went to see the nurse in the health center on campus. Let me just say i hate how the health center work in Queen's. So i went to register, and the nurse, after double checking with me my address, realize the whole "queenie who goes to queen's who also lives on queen's street" joke and told me that she used to know someone who's last name is kingston and lives on king st. in kingston. I was so delighted to hear that there's someone out there whose probably using the same cheezy line like "hi my name is XXX kingston and i live on king st in kingston!" for an introduction, just makes me less of a freak.

so anyway. i was sent to the waiting room.. where i was desperate to find things to read other than "oral sex.. what you need to know" or "outdoor canada"... but after a few minutes. i was relieved by the nurse calling my name so i followed her to the SECOND WAITING ROOM (yes... they call your name and give you hope and lead you to ANOTHER FRIGGING WAITING ROOM) .. i was very delighted to find a semi fashion magazine in that waiting room (i guess they kept the goodies in that room so frustrated patient like me won't be b*tching while we wait).. and after a few minutes, i finally got to see the nurse.


nurse: (takes a look at my elbow) "... emm that looks interesting, have you been leaning onto any poison ivy lately?"

me: (wtc?!?!?!) "... no?"

nurse: "well it can't be shingles cuz it's on the bone.."

me: "uh huh.."

nurse: "let me consult someone else"

so she went and got someone else and then they both looked at my elbow again and together decided that it is not shingles.. so the original nurse decided that i need to see the doctor.. and told me to reschedule.


frustrated already. i went to the front desk.. and the lady told me that i JUST missed the free slot and have to wait another 40 mins to see the doctor (mind you.. i was already taking like an hour long lunch break) but i figured it's useless to go back to work so again.. i was sitting in the FIRST waiting room trying to find something decent to read.

the visious cycle repeats itself and when i finally got to see the doctor.. she had like 2 mins with me and decided that i probably leaned on something not clean and gave me a sample on the cream before she got an important call and had to write "apply twice a day" onto a postit note and shove it to me.



yeah. Queen's health care is great.




btw, this si what i get for being chinese at work.
