oh wow.

it has been a while.

being an engineer, i often find myself having these intense thoughts or revelations that will make a perfect blog entry but hindered by my lack of vocabularies and incapability to spell. (yes i fit perfectly in the stereotype and i love it). So I resort to reading about other people's lives instead. (see: spending too much time surfing xangas)

but then... sometimes... when my fingers are still uncontrollably clicking some random names on my friend's friend's friend's friend's list at 3 am in the morning, i wonder "why am i so fascinated by other people's lives? and spend so much time reading about them that i forget about my own?" well.. the first thing that comes to mind would be because i am so in awe that they are all soo eloquent at expressing their thoughts (some better than others. see: liz ngan) and being interesting and witty (see: eHron Yu)

but being the xanga surfing veteran that i am, i find there is an increasing number of blog entries where people share about their faith, struggles, and some of them even contain biblical lessons (see: matt wan). Of course, there will always be those random blogs on my friend's friend's friend's list that talks about nothing but every last trivial details about their days and how much they love their gf/bf.. but when sometimes when i come across a good entry in some random**'s xanga that shares about how God has been moving in their campus. I was reminded how big our God is and how constant His presence even though it might not be so evident in my life.

I am encouraged to see a rising generation who are fighting for God and would boast about nothing but about how God has moved in their lives in their trivial little online journals where they might think no one is reading.

So now not only am i justified for surfing xangas, but i've also decided that despite of how terrible my writing skills may be, i might just come back and write about how God is moving in my life.

even if no one is reading.

** okay so i don't actually read a lot of random ppl's xangas. i'm not that creepy. but if you didn't read about the UCLA blog entry.. you should.
